**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Maintenance Planning and Scheduling**:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.
- Plan maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production schedules.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to schedule planned downtimes.
- **Supervision and Leadership**:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide training as needed.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- **Troubleshooting and Repairs**:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or operational issues in equipment.
- Oversee or directly perform urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and tools.
- **Preventive and Predictive Maintenance**:
- Implement strategies to detect potential equipment failures before they occur.
- Use technologies like condition monitoring and vibration analysis to assess equipment health.
- Conduct periodic inspections and audits to ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacement.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Suggest cost-saving measures and budget plans for maintenance operations.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with equipment operation and maintenance.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for the maintenance team.
- **Vendor and Contractor Management**:
- Liaise with external vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and procurement.
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure quality work is delivered on time.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Analyze recurring issues and recommend design or process modifications.
- Suggest upgrades to machinery or tools to improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and maintenance technologies.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Educational Background**:
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Additional certifications in maintenance management (e.g., CMMS, TPM) are an advantage.
- **Experience**:
- Several years of experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a maintenance team.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of tools like predictive maintenance software and condition monitoring systems.
