Job Title: Jewellery Designer - National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

**Job Description**:
We are looking for a talented and creative Jewellery Designer to join our team at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). As a Jewellery Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing innovative and aesthetically pleasing jewellery pieces that reflect current trends and meet the needs of our target audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the vibrant and dynamic field of jewellery design while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Design Conceptualization: Generate original design concepts for jewellery pieces, taking into consideration market trends, consumer preferences, and design briefs.

2. Sketching and Rendering: Create detailed sketches and digital renderings of jewellery designs, incorporating elements such as shape, texture, color, and materials.

3. Material Selection: Research and select appropriate materials for jewellery production, considering factors such as durability, cost, and aesthetic appeal.

4. Technical Drawings: Develop technical drawings and specifications to communicate design details and dimensions to manufacturers and craftsmen.

5. Prototype Development: Collaborate with artisans and technicians to produce prototypes of jewellery designs, evaluating and refining them through iterative processes.

6. Trend Analysis: Stay informed about emerging trends in fashion, art, and design, and incorporate relevant influences into jewellery design concepts.

7. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify consumer preferences, competitive products, and potential opportunities for innovation in jewellery design.

8. Presentation Preparation: Prepare presentations and visual materials to effectively communicate design concepts and proposals to stakeholders, including faculty members and industry professionals.

9. Collaboration: Collaborate with other designers, faculty members, and industry partners to exchange ideas, provide feedback, and support interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.

10. Documentation: Maintain organized records of design projects, including sketches, renderings, technical drawings, and design specifications.

**Requirements**:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Jewellery Design, Fashion Design, or a related field from a reputable institution such as NIFT.

2. Creativity: Strong creative skills and a passion for jewellery design, demonstrated through a portfolio of original design work.

3. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD software for jewellery design.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

5. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a meticulous approach to design, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the design process.

6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing design requirements, project deadlines, and technological advancements in the field of jewellery design.

7. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with jewellery manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques, as well as an understanding of market trends and consumer preferences.

8. Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, contributing ideas and supporting the creative vision of the team.

9. Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing a range of jewellery design projects, including sketches, renderings, and technical drawings, demonstrating creative ability and design proficiency.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
