Responsibilities
- **Staff management**: Hire and train new staff, schedule shifts, and provide direction to the kitchen team
- **Food preparation**: Oversee food preparation and cooking, and check the temperature and plating of food
- **Inventory**: Manage inventory to ensure that all ingredients are available
- **Menu development**: Work with the head chef to create and maintain the menu
- **Safety and sanitation**: Maintain sanitation standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- **Cost tracking**: Track kitchen finances to identify areas for improvement
- **Food ordering**: Order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed
- **Training**: Train kitchen staff on food preparation and plating techniques
- **First aid**: Have knowledge of first aid in case of burns or cuts

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Rotational shift
- Weekend availability
