Shima-seiki Programmer

**Job Overview**:

- The Knitting Machine Operator will program, run, inspect, and maintain Shima Seiki knitting machines.
- The Knitting Machine Operator will be responsible for routine maintenance of the machines as well as technical and electrical repairs.
- The Knitting Machine Operator will also be charged with regular quality assessment of knit product and appropriate machinery adjustments.

**Description of Duties**:

- Set and adjust Shima Seiki knitting machine parameters such as patterns, tensions, heating mechanisms, quantities, and speeds using CAM software
- Execute computer programs for automatic knitting production
- Review guides, technical manuals, charts, samples, and specification sheets and confer with supervisors/designers to determine machine parameters
- Examine, troubleshoot, and fix mechanical defects and problems that inhibit quality production or cause work stoppage
- Maintain and repair multiple machines by replacing worn and defective parts and installing, aligning, adjusting, and leveling mechanical components
- Clean machines and keep them lubricated
- Inspect manufactured clothing components and accessories for defects
- Trim clothing components and cut fabrics as needed

**Specifications**:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated experience operating Shima Seiki knitting machines.
- Basic knowledge of computers.
- Working knowledge of CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) software, specifically Shima-Seiki software.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and read and utilize common measuring devices.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Strong Apparel Knowledge.
- Good Communication Skill.

**Salary**: ₹45,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- CAM programming: 3 years (preferred)
- Programming Shima Seiki flat knitting machines: 3 years (preferred)
