**Role Summary**:
The School Nurse is responsible for managing and promoting the health and well-being of all students and staff within the school environment. This includes providing immediate medical care, maintaining health records, managing chronic conditions, and implementing health-related policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide first aid and emergency medical care to students and staff during school hours.
- Maintain up-to-date health records of all students, including vaccination records, medical histories, and chronic illness management.
- Administer medications as prescribed by doctors and as per school policy, ensuring proper documentation.
- Monitor and manage health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc., in coordination with parents and physicians.
- Communicate with parents regarding health concerns, injuries, or illnesses related to their children.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper functioning of the school infirmary.
- Conduct periodic health checks and coordinate annual medical camps and screenings.
- Educate students and staff on basic hygiene, nutrition, and health practices.
- Implement health and safety protocols during outbreaks or health-related emergencies.
- Maintain records and reports of daily cases, medicine stock, and incidents.
- Coordinate with external medical professionals or hospitals during emergencies.
- Support the school in maintaining COVID or other public health-related compliance measures, if needed.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the State Nursing Council.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a school, clinic, or hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm in emergencies and make quick decisions.
- Compassionate and child-friendly approach.
