Vfx Teacher

**The VFX Teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Teach technical and artistic principles of VFX production including compositing, rotoscoping, paint cleanup, plate preparation, plate restoration, and stereo conversion.
- Bring industry best practices of the 2D VFX curriculum at EM and keep abreast of the current workflows in the trade.
- Participate in curriculum and program development meetings; research and incorporate industry best practices into the EM VFX curriculum.
- Help Program Director, staff, student and parents develop and implement Individualized Career Plans (ICP) for each student with respect to career advancement in VFX.
- Mentor students in the VFX process; guide students in all aspects of developing a body of work for employment in VFX facilities.
- Present TechOps - share insights gained from research into new technologies, practices, and processes with other faculty and staff members.

**Requirements**:

- Experience teaching 2D VFX at the college or professional-education level.
- 5 yrs of professional experience: including marker and rig removal, shape creation, editing, and animation, hand and procedural/comp paint, plate restoration and correction for comp.
- High level of professional achievement and industry credentials in 2D VFX (i.e. BA, MA and/or Certifications)
- Comprehensive knowledge of VFX pipeline and software (such as Maya, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Mocha, Silhouette, Nuke).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of students and support staff.
- Experience with teens and young adults with ASD a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Enthusiasm to support and further EM Program and its Objectives.

**Salary**: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
