Job Purpose
Alcon is hiring an associate responsible for the administration of the Ariba solutions including Supplier Management, Risk, Guided Buying and Sourcing. There are two levels of administration required: Operational support to the Vendor Master Data (VMD) team and ongoing changes and enhancements to the system. This role will go directly in the system and make configuration changes and where required, will work with Ariba to address changes.
**Responsibilities**:
Under the direction of the COE Sr. Manager, this associate will:
Make administrative changes to the configuration of Ariba system in support of ongoing business activity carried out within Supplier Management, Risk, Guided Buying and Sourcing.
Support the risk assessment process within Ariba. This would include the streamlining of the user activities, simplifying the supplier interaction and facilitating the risk expert due diligent process.
Support the ongoing support of Guided Buying. This includes the maintenance of matrix files used in approvals, development of smart forms and enablement of new buying functions.
Support the e-sourcing activities within Procurement. This includes the administration and maintenance of the Ariba Sourcing Module.
Coordinate activities with Ariba support as it relates to issues and the release of ongoing enhancements. Coordinate activities with Alcon IT AMS support team to resolve issue.
Communicate & work with end users, cross functional teams like accounts payable, sourcing & procurement & Master Data teams to resolve any procurement related issues.

- Make necessary configuration changes based on business requirements.
- Perform end-to-end testing of changes through the various modules.
- Prepare communications and coordinate deployment of new enhancements fixes.

- Provide Tier 2 level support for the various Ariba solutions.
- Analyze issue and provide solutions.
- Configure Ariba as needed to adjust to business needs.
- Collaborate with the IT for advanced support.
- Interact with Ariba support on reported issues and upcoming upgrades.
- Optimize process and identify opportunities to improve Alcon’s Ariba environments.
- Perform all duties within assigned timeline & provide status of all activities
**Qualifications**:
- Knowledge in Ariba Solutions:
- Supplier Lifecycle Performance (preferred)
- Risk (preferred)
- Guided Buying (preferred)
- Strategic Sourcing (Desired)
- Ariba Administration/Core Administration (Desired)
- Knowledge of SM Administration (Desired)
- Knowledge in Template / form development (Desired)
- Team player with a positive attitude and ability to operate in ambiguity
- Experience working against goals or contractual deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication including written, verbal and listening skills
- Quick learner
Education/Experience and Training
- 5+ years of experience with the upstream and downstream suite of tools from Ariba including: SLP, Risk, Guided Buying and Strategic Sourcing.
- SAP Financials
- SAP Vendor Master Data
- Master Data Governance (MDG)
- BI (Datawarehouse)
- ERP system integration knowledge through CIG
- University level degree in Business Administration/Science/Finance
- English language very good spoken and written
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point
- Knowledge or experience with Direct & Indirect Procurement
