**Description**:
This role is part of a strategic initiative to enhance the Electronic Health Records (EHR) platform by developing an interoperability module. The goal of the project is to enable closed-loop referrals with other EHR systems, including EPIC, facilitating seamless exchange of patient referral data across systems and enhancing care coordination.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work as an integrated member of the development team, participating in full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities.
- Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the interoperability module for the EHR system.
- Build and optimize solutions for connecting EHR capabilities with other systems, focusing on closed-loop referrals.
- Ensure data integrity and secure transfer between systems during interoperability development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, architects, and engineers, to translate requirements into functional features.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and integration testing to ensure a robust and scalable solution.
- Adhere to healthcare regulations and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7) during development to ensure compliance.
- Provide documentation and technical support during the implementation phase and after deployment.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Proven experience** in software development with proficiency in Perl.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience working with **Oracle databases**, including querying, performance tuning, and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare-related standards, such as **HL7 or FHIR**, is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment with excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to grasp complex requirements and implement effective technical solutions within healthcare interoperability projects.

**Nice-to-Have Skills**:

- Previous experience with EPIC or other major EHR platforms.
- Understanding of medical referral workflows and closed-loop referral processes.
- Familiarity with healthcare data compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
