**Job Description: Research Associate - Data Collection**

**Position Overview**:
As a Research Associate specializing in data collection, you will play a critical role in gathering, managing, and analyzing data for various research projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely collection of data through different methods and sources. You will work closely with the research team to identify data requirements, design data collection instruments, and implement data collection strategies. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Data Collection Planning:

- Collaborate with the research team to understand data requirements and objectives.
- Assist in the development of data collection plans and methodologies.
- Identify potential data sources, both internal and external, and establish data collection protocols.

**2. Data Gathering**:

- Conduct primary data collection through surveys, interviews, observations, and other relevant methods.
- Obtain secondary data from publicly available sources like google, academic databases, and other repositories.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of collected data by implementing validation procedures.

**3. Data Management**:

- Organize and maintain data in a structured and accessible manner.
- Develop databases and data entry systems to facilitate efficient data management.
- Regularly update and clean datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.

**4. Quality Control**:

- Perform data quality checks and resolve discrepancies or errors in the data.
- Review collected data for consistency and accuracy, and follow up on any missing information.

**5. Data Analysis Support**:

- Collaborate with data analysts and statisticians to assist in data processing and analysis.
- Provide input in defining data variables and coding schemes.

**6. Reporting and Documentation**:

- Prepare clear and concise reports based on collected data.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data collection procedures, data sources, and any modifications made during the process.

**7. Communication**:

- Communicate regularly with the research team to provide updates on data collection progress.
- Collaborate with other team members to address challenges and brainstorm solutions.

8. Compliance and Ethics:

- Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and data protection regulations during data collection.
- Obtain necessary permissions and approvals for data collection, where applicable.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in data collection, research assistance, or data management is preferred.
- Proficiency in data collection tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Atleast 1 or 2 year of relevant experience in this field.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
