**Job Description: Ex-Military Security Guard**

**Position Title**: Ex-Military Security Guard

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Provide assistance and guidance to employees, visitors, and clients to ensure a safe environment.
- Report any suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain a daily log of activities and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Perform first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Conduct security training and drills for staff as needed.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Military background with honorable discharge.
- Proven experience as a security guard or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
- Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficient in the use of security equipment, including surveillance systems and access control systems.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform patrols and handle potentially confrontational situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid security guard license and certifications as required by local laws.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in law enforcement or related field.
- Knowledge of self-defense and emergency response techniques.
- Training in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
