Position: Medical Doctor
Job Location: Palghar (Maharashtra) and Alwar (Rajasthan)
PURPOSE OF POST:
Provide outpatient medical care to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients’/beneficiaries health conditions
Reporting to: District Manager
Job responsibilities:
- Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow, checking they have understood.
- Check and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment under his/her responsibility and take care of the quality, disinfection and sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards.
- Participate in the collection and analysis of epidemiological data, checking its validity and informing the line manager or project manager about any problem or complication of the patients’ illness, medical error and monitors the proper functioning of the department, equipment or material.
- Ensure ongoing training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in order to optimize the quality of care.
- Knows and ensures all medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing biohazard risks and improving infection control. Ensures professional confidentiality is respected.
- Supporting the other members of the medical team (e.g. Project Manager, Nurses, Pharmacist etc.) if needed at the clinic.
- Referring patients to the district hospital if indicated and ensuring proper follow-up.
- Supporting the mobile clinics/community outreach activities with any additional task assigned.
- Participate in regular internal and external meetings.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education**:
Essential: MBBS degree with full & valid registration from Medical Council of India or State Medical Councils
Desirable: Diploma in Medicine
Experience: Preferable 1-year experience in related field; prior experience in conducting Mobile camps
Languages: Local Language and English
Remuneration - 12 lakhs per annum
Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
**Salary**: ₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
