SAP Mdm Data Architect

**What you will do**

In this vital role you will design and deliver workflows in MDG to provide accurate and complete master data to support Record to Report, Source to Pay, Plan to Stock, and Order to Cash business objectives. The MDG Data Architect will be responsible for developing master data strategies, ensuring data integrity and consistency across S/4HANA modules. This role will closely collaborate with the S/4 MDG Product Owner and other technology teams to align data governance frameworks with organizational goals and ensure that master data processes support business operations effectively.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Deliver high-quality master data for S/4HANA modules, Enterprise MDM and Commercial MDM hubs through a federated operating model and governance.
- Design and architect SAP MDG solution, including scalable data models to publish master data through the Enterprise Data Fabric.
- Coach other SAP MDM staff to configure efficient SAP MDG workflows based on business requirements.
- Collaborate with SAP MDG Product Owner and S/4HANA implementation team during system design testing, and deployment.
- Monitor data quality and resolve data discrepancies and issues.
- Conduct regular audits of master data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze and improve data management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to integrate MDG with other SAP modules.
- Work with multi-functional teams to gather and document business requirements related to master data.
- Provide support to business partners regarding master data processes and SAP MDG functionality.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancing data management practices
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the data management team, fostering a culture of innovation and best practices.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Doctorate degree and 2 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience OR
- Master’s degree and 8 to 10 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience OR
- Diploma and 14 to 18 years of Business, Engineering, IT or related field experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
**Must-Have Skills**:

- Experience managing technical teams.
- Hands-on experience implementing SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
- Strong knowledge of data management principles, data quality, and data governance standard processes.
- Experience delivering Master Data solutions through Agile methodologies for software implementation.

**Good-to-Have Skills**:

- Experience in a leadership role within a pharmaceutical or technology organization.
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Fiori, Informatica MDM or Reltio MDM.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to master data governance.

**Professional Certifications**:

- SAP certification (required)
- Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred)

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical abilities to assess and improve master data processes and solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts clearly to technical and non-technical collaborators.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address data-related issues and implement scalable solutions.
