Introduction:
The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of assigned activities within operations ensuring all necessary requirements are met, making operational decisions to maximise performance. Establish and maintain good working relationships with other teams, departments and third parties whilst acting as a point of reference or guidance for other members of the team. The individual will be responsible for providing guidance and recommending solutions for the challenges faced by the production team.
What will you be doing?
The role holder will be responsible for below:
- Be responsible for the delivery of assigned activities within Client & Account Master Data Management ensuring all necessary requirements are met within SLA, making operational decisions to maximise performance.
- Reach out to external clients to source the cash settlement instructions & analyse the SSI for completeness and seek clarity on any anomalies.
- Manage escalations from internal and external stakeholders and resolve it in appropriate & timely manner.
- Responsible for performing quality assurance check on the team’s work.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with external clients, other teams, departments and third parties whilst acting as a point of reference or guidance for other members of the team.
- Respond to administrative issues, including those that are non-routine issues and managing through to resolution.
- Carry out problem solving, investigating and progressing complex queries escalated by the team and other stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail for all team outputs
- Be responsible for driving the development of the team members
- Lead by example, ensuring the team’s awareness of Barclays mission and values. Understand own role in the overall objectives of Barclays.
- Supervise the team’s day to day activities (as appropriate), ensuring that they are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This will include oversight of checklists and internal controls; fostering a strong risk management culture within the team.
Guide the Assistant Managers in defining and implementing new processes and be proactive in driving efficiencies across the business.
What we’re looking for:
- Relevant professional experience within the financial services industry in Client Account and Settlement Instruction maintenance or related areas - Middle Office, Trade Confirmation or Settlements.
- Strong experience in an Operational Environment.
- Knowledge in market wide SSI platforms like Omgeo Alert, FX ALL, SSI Search etc
- Stakeholder & Team management experience
- Good understanding of risk and control framework in markets environment and practical experience in managing risk incidents.
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Educated to a minimum of degree level or equivalent supplemented industry recognised qualifications.
- Working experience in Omgeo Alert, ASSASSIN and SSI platforms.
- Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills with an understanding of databases and data analysis tools.
