**Role and Responsibilities**:
We are currently seeking a Kafka Data Engineer for a full-time remote role. As a Kafka Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance distributed data pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka. You will work closely with data architects and software engineers to ensure the robustness, correctness, and recoverability of data pipelines. Your primary tasks will include incorporating scalable techniques to manage large amounts of data, accessing various data sources, and implementing Kafka producers and consumers.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

- Strong proficiency with Apache Kafka, including Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Security.
- Experience with various data storage systems and data formats, such as AWS S3, Hadoop, Avro, and Parquet.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks, including Spark.
- Experience developing solutions utilizing Java, Python, and Scala.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
