**Job Title**: PRT Science Teacher

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lesson Planning & Delivery**:

- Prepare and deliver well-structured and interactive science lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources (e.g., hands-on experiments, multimedia tools) to keep students engaged and cater to different learning styles.
- **Student Engagement & Support**:

- Foster a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring and asking questions about the natural world.
- Provide individual attention and support to students as needed, addressing their unique learning needs.
- **Assessments & Progress Tracking**:

- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
- Regularly update progress reports for students and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic development.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a disciplined and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement effective strategies for managing student behavior and promoting positive interactions.
- **Collaboration & Professional Development**:

- Work closely with other teachers, staff, and school leadership to plan interdisciplinary activities and projects.
- Participate in regular professional development sessions to stay updated on best practices in science education.
- **Safety & Experimentation**:

- Ensure the safe use of materials, tools, and equipment during practical science activities.
- Promote safety protocols during science experiments and field trips.
- **Extracurricular Activities**:

- Encourage and facilitate student participation in science fairs, exhibitions, and other extracurricular activities related to science.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Additional qualifications or certifications in education or science teaching are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Previous teaching experience in a primary school setting, especially in science, is preferred.
- Familiarity with the curriculum and educational standards at the primary level.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Sound understanding of the primary science curriculum.
- Creativity in teaching and the ability to make complex concepts accessible and fun.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching.
