Introduction:
The purpose of the Barclaycard Risk Strategy team is to drive value through appropriate Risk Management of relevant credit risk analytics and strategies for the portfolios allocated.
- Provide tailored presentation methods to manage, negotiate and influence a variety of Senior CRO and commercial stakeholders using knowledge formed from a deep understanding of portfolio’s and segments.
- Oversee the production of ad-hoc MI and provide support to the wider CRO teams and senior management/stakeholders.
- Production of a range of reports to establish credit performance, specifically to contribute and present to the monthly Risk Management Committee and senior stakeholder meetings - provide recommendations (where appropriate) and influence/negotiate with stakeholders to obtain delivery/sign off.
- The role holder will need to mentor junior team members as required
- They will also need to drive a culture of continuous improvement and maintain an effective working relationship with stakeholders across functions and locations.

What will you be doing?

Provide best-in-class analytics (50%)
- Work closely with your team to provide in-depth monitoring of performance of certain reports/analysis, spotting trends and insights & driving any necessary corrective actions
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders (specifically Chief Credit Officer and Head of Commercial teams) to ensure analysis/context is complete.
- On-going monitoring of performance.
- Ensure MI, Insight and commentary is accurate, timely and that any changes required by senior management are also delivered.
- Be creative in your approach to data analysis / performance mgt, obtaining insights in different ways and demonstrating expertise to provide new ways of managing portfolio risk. Constantly assess the team’s performance, looking for continual improvements
- Respond to requests for information from senior management. Producing timely, clear and accurate data/insight to meet those requests.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership (20%)

The key stakeholders of this role will be
- The other members of the CRO team
- Collections, Fraud and other Operations teams
- The Commercial team
- Strategic Analytics team
- Finance
- Risk & Governance
- The person will need to work effectively with colleagues across these stakeholders to achieve shared business objectives. This includes sharing analytical insights, and presenting / defending these conclusions in appropriate formal and informal forums.

- Develop a high performing team through support / challenge / direction of junior team members
- Engage and motivate junior team members towards achieving goals.

Improve Internal Processes (10%)
- Identify new opportunities for enhancing/ streamlining services
- Formulate opportunities into proposals, share with the manager and implement

Team Player Activities (10%):

- Work effectively with peers and management team to achieve shared business objectives
- Contribute to the wider colleague agenda of the Barclaycard Risk Strategy India Hub
