**Job Summary**:
The OT Sister will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Operation Theatre. She will play a key role in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care for patients undergoing gynaecological, laparoscopic, and fertility-related procedures. This position demands a high level of clinical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sensitive environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Pre-operative Duties**:

- Prepare OT and surgical instruments before procedures.
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent forms.
- Ensure sterilisation of equipment and maintenance of aseptic conditions.

**Intra-operative Duties**:

- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during surgeries.
- Handle surgical instruments efficiently and anticipate needs of the surgical team.
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient status during surgery.

**Post-operative Duties**:

- Transfer patients safely to recovery with proper documentation.
- Monitor post-operative recovery and provide immediate care if required.
- Ensure disposal of bio-medical waste as per guidelines.

**Administrative & Compliance**:

- Maintain OT logs, sterilisation records, and patient reports.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, housekeeping, and other departments as needed.

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid nursing registration.
- Minimum 2-3 years of OT nursing experience (experience in gynaecology or fertility centres preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilisation techniques.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations.

- Familiarity with fertility-related surgical procedures (e.g., egg retrieval, hysteroscopy).
- Flexibility with rotational shifts, weekend duties, and emergency calls.
