**Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership**:

- Provide strategic direction for the Faculty of Fashion Design.
- Supervise curriculum design, syllabus development, and academic delivery in alignment with industry trends.
- Encourage interdisciplinary learning and global exposure for students.

**Faculty Management**:

- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty members and staff.
- Promote faculty development through workshops, training, and research opportunities.
- Lead academic planning, timetabling, and teaching assignments.

**Research & Industry Collaboration**:

- Promote high-quality research, publications, exhibitions, and design innovation.
- Foster collaborations with national and international fashion brands, designers, and academic institutions.
- Organize fashion shows, seminars, workshops, and conferences.

**Student Development**:

- Oversee student admission processes and academic advising.
- Ensure excellence in student outcomes, placements, and entrepreneurial development.
- Promote internships, study tours, and live projects.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Manage faculty budgets, accreditations (e.g., NAAC/NBA), and compliance with regulatory bodies (UGC/AICTE/University norms).
- Represent the faculty in university-level meetings, committees, and strategic planning.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Ph.D. in Fashion Design (mandatory).**:

- Minimum 5+ **years of teaching/research/industry experience**, including **5+ years in academic administration**.
- Proven record of published research, exhibitions, or design projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Industry exposure or consultancy experience preferred.


**Experience**:

- Dean of the faculty of design: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
