Job Description: Storage Architect for Mission-Critical Enterprise Applications

Position Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Storage Infrastructure Design:

- Design and architect a storage solution that aligns with business needs, taking into account scalability, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance considerations.
- Evaluate and select appropriate storage technologies and solutions, such as SAN (Storage Area etwork), NAS (Network Attached Storage), or cloud-based storage services.

2. Storage Stack Implementation:

- Lead the implementation and deployment of the designed storage architecture, ensuring proper integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Configure storage arrays, SAN switches, and other components, optimizing performance and capacity utilization.
- Implement data protection mechanisms, including backups, snapshots, and replication, to ensure data integrity and availability.

3. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

- Monitor storage performance metrics, proactively identifying bottlenecks or potential issues and making necessary adjustments to optimize performance.

4. High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

- Plan and execute disaster recovery tests regularly to verify the effectiveness of the recovery procedures and make improvements as needed.

5. Security and Compliance:

- Implement storage security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Work with the security team to conduct regular security assessments and audits of the storage infrastructure.

6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

- Maintain detailed documentation of the storage architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Share knowledge and provide training to other team members to ensure a well-informed and skilled storage team.

7. Emerging Technologies and Best Practices:

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging storage technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the storage stack and overall infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Strong expertise in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, cloud storage services, and object storage.
- Experience with storage performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
- Solid understanding of data protection mechanisms, including backups, snapshots, and replication.
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
- Knowledge of storage security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in storage virtualization and software-defined storage concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

**Salary**: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
