We are now seeking a highly motivated and results driven individual to join our growing Pharma controllership team as Finance Controller.

Your Focus

As a Finance Controller based in Hyderabad, you are responsible for the financial management and legal entity reporting within your designated region. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, compliance with regional accounting standards, and effective collaboration with outsourced finance & accounting business service partners and the Global Controller.

The role is Hyderabad, India based and will report to Global Controller.

How you will contribute

Financial Management and Operations:

- Oversee and manage finance/accounting operations within the region, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
- Manage Controllers on ensuring costs are complete and recorded accurately.
- Partner with Financial Planning and Analysis on cost accruals and budgeting/forecasting.
- Manage regional month-end closing activities and validate reconciliation activities performed by outsourced service partners.

Reporting, Compliance, Month End Closing and Consolidation:

- Liaise with the Global Controller on financial reporting and consolidation matters.
- Develop regional corporate reporting and produce monthly financial reports according to business needs.
- Prepare statutory books and coordinate with the outsourced finance & accounting business services for Finance and Tax as well as working with external auditors.
- Liaise with process owners on process improvements and oversee data reporting, tracking, planning, and auditing.

What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
- CPA, CA, ICWA or equivalent preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in financial management, with a focus on regional controllership.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory and cost accounting processes preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Experience with financial operations, month-end close, and reporting and working with outsourced finance & accounting business service.
- Leadership skills and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with statutory reporting and tax compliance.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting 'tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in a multinational corporation and familiarity with the specific region's accounting and tax regulations are beneficial.
