We currently work across 27 states, a lot of which is in partnership with the central and state governments. We have developed innovative approaches and programs in every vertical and built strong partnerships.

**Role Overview**:

Building forward on its purpose, Piramal Foundation is planning to expand its educational services to people with diverse (special) needs by setting up the **Piramal School of Inclusion**. We intend to work with people facing multiple challenges to be able to create larger impact. The strategic goals of the Piramal Centre are to strengthen the voice and autonomy of people with disabilities (individuals); build resilient inclusive communities (communities); build inclusive and sustainable local and national systems and services (systems); thereby ensuring that parents and/or guardians of ‘special persons’ know that, in their absence, their wards are safe and cared for.

The Occupational Therapist will lead the below initiatives for our Inclusive School at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan:

- Working in an integrated ecosystem and ensure the development of children with special needs alongside other children.
- Conducting physical and psychological assessments of children and developing or following an intervention plan.
- Assessing home and work environments of special children and deciding what adjustments are needed.
- Advising on adaptive equipment to help children with daily activities.
- Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help children gain certain skills.
- Educating caregivers and family members of children on care.
- Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on special children.
- Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress to provide special children with the best intervention program available.
- Complying with state and local certification requirements.

**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent in occupational therapy
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy
- Proven working experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
- Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale)
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of intervention plans and physical therapy programs.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to take care of special children with different personalities.

**Work Location**: Baggar, Rajasthan.

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
