Principal Auditor

**Job Title: Principal Auditor(Finance)**

About the role:
As an Auditor in Group Internal Audit (GIA), you will participate in various business and audit activities, with a primary focus on financial reporting controls testing. You will be constantly challenged to learn about many aspects of Swiss Re's business, the processes and controls, address key business and identify workable solutions. This role is an opportunity to deal with themes that have organizational impact and drive the risk culture of Swiss Re.

**How can you make an impact?**

As a member of Group Internal Audit (GIA), you will perform detailed testing on internal controls over financial reporting, evaluate effectiveness of control design and implementation across various areas and summarise findings.

Engage with various stakeholders across the business representing the team.

Update all relevant documentation for control testing purposes in the Internal Audit tools

Prepare and present reports that reflects audit results and document process.

Provide consultation to various controls and process owners across the globe.

Support projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Control function.

Participate in local, regional and global audits, positively impacting the delivery and using your areas of expertise to contribute to GIA audit plan.

Participate in GIA's critical initiatives and projects as opportunities arise.

**About you**:

- At least 5 years of work experience gained either with external or internal audit within the Financial Services sector, ideally with (re)insurance companies.
- University degree in accounting, finance, business or other similar quantitative disciplines e.g. actuarial science or quantitative finance
- Qualified or working towards a CPA, CA, CIA professional certification or having passed several actuarial exams.
- Ability to manipulate large amount of data, perform analysis, conduct hypothesis testing and compile detailed reports.
- Knowledge and experience in IFRS 9 and/or 17 (preferred).
- Prior audit experience gained in a Big 4 preferred.
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, regulations within APAC preferred.
- Critical thinker, with the ability to understand the big picture, highly organized and able to prioritize and deliver assignments on time.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail oriented and excellent analytical skills.
- Tech savvy with advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
