### Roles and Responsibilities of an Interior Designer for Hotel Surya Garden Renovation

### **Position Title: Interior Designer**

### **Objective**:
To enhance and rejuvenate the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and overall guest experience at Hotel Surya Garden through thoughtful and strategic interior design.

### **Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Project Planning and Management**:

- Collaborate with hotel management to understand renovation objectives, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Develop a comprehensive renovation plan, including project scope, phases, and deliverables.

2. **Concept Development**:

- Create design concepts that align with the hotel's brand identity, target market, and thematic vision.
- Present mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings to illustrate design ideas and obtain approval from stakeholders.

3. **Space Planning**:

- Conduct site visits to assess the current state of the hotel’s interior spaces.
- Prepare detailed floor plans and layout designs to optimize space utilization and enhance flow and functionality.

4. **Material and Finish Selection**:

- Select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures that reflect the desired aesthetic and meet durability and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure high-quality materials within budget.

5. **Color Schemes and Lighting**:

- Develop cohesive color schemes that enhance the visual appeal and ambiance of various hotel areas.
- Design and implement effective lighting plans to highlight architectural features and create the desired atmosphere.

6. **Furniture and Decor**:

- Source, select, and arrange furniture, artwork, accessories, and other decor elements to complement the overall design concept.
- Ensure that all selections meet the hotel’s standards for quality and comfort.

7. **Sustainability and Compliance**:

- Incorporate sustainable design practices and materials to minimize environmental impact.
- Ensure all design elements comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.

8. **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Work closely with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the renovation project.
- Coordinate with the hotel’s operational staff to minimize disruption to guests and services during renovation.

9. **Budget Management**:

- Prepare and manage the interior design budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Track expenses and report regularly to hotel management on budget status.

10. **Quality Control and Assurance**:

- Oversee the execution of design plans, ensuring that work meets the established standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues promptly.

11. **Guest Experience Enhancement**:

- Design guest rooms, common areas, and amenities to enhance comfort, convenience, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Incorporate innovative design solutions to improve the guest experience and differentiate the hotel from competitors.

12. **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of design plans, material specifications, and project timelines.
- Prepare progress reports and present updates to hotel management and stakeholders.

### **Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of color theory, materials, and finishes.
- Excellent spatial planning and project management skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and building codes.

The Interior Designer will report directly to the Hotel Manager and will work closely with the management team throughout the renovation process.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
