**Job Title**: VMC Operator

**Department**: Production / Manufacturing
**Reporting to**: Production Supervisor / Plant Head

**Job Purpose**:
To operate and maintain Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) efficiently, ensuring production targets are achieved with the required quality and safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate VMC machines as per process sheets and drawings.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces as required.
- Interpret engineering drawings and program data for machining.
- Perform basic programming and offset adjustments (if required).
- Monitor machine operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Conduct in-process inspection using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.).
- Maintain production logs, job cards, and inspection reports.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure cleanliness of machine & workplace.
- Adhere to safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Report any deviations, breakdowns, or quality issues to the supervisor.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operations.
- Ability to read & understand engineering drawings (GD&T).
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc / Siemens / Haas / Mitsubishi - as applicable).
- Attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Turner, or Machinist trade.
- 2-5 years of experience as a VMC Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in tooling, fixture setting, and machining of precision components preferred.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
