**Job Title**: Waiter/Waitress

**Department**: Food and Beverage

**Reports To**: Restaurant Manager / Supervisor

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Interaction**:

- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they are seated.
- Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
- **Order Taking**:

- Take accurate food and drink orders using a POS ordering software, order slips, or by memorization.
- Relay orders to kitchen staff and ensure that orders are correctly prepared and presented.
- **Service Delivery**:

- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor tables and ensure guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues.
- Clear and clean tables after guests have finished dining.
- **Customer Assistance**:

- Assist guests with any questions or requests they may have regarding the menu, hotel facilities, or local attractions.
- Address complaints or concerns quickly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other staff members to ensure efficient restaurant operation.
- Assist in training new staff members as needed.
- **Payment Processing**:

- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Process payments through cash, credit card, or room charge.
- **Health and Safety**:

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
- Ensure dining areas comply with cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- **Additional Duties**:

- Participate in daily briefings and attend training sessions as required.
- Assist with restaurant setup and closing procedures, including restocking supplies, setting tables, and maintaining cleanliness.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in customer service is preferred.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills.
- **Appearance**: Presentable and professional appearance.
- **Flexibility**: Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or related field training is a plus.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.

**Work Environment**:

- The position operates in a professional restaurant environment within a hotel setting.
- The role requires the ability to handle the physical demands of the job, such as standing for long periods and carrying heavy items.
