**GG International School,** is Hiring for **SCHOOL COUNSELLOR & SPECIAL EDUCATOR.**

**Job Profile for Special Educator/ School Counsellor.**

1. Identification of new students as per the process which will involve formal and informal observation under different experiences the learner is undergoing, prepare report of the same and discuss with the AH and VP along with the class teacher. Appropriate measures to be taken as discussed and agreed, observe and monitor for changes. Parents to be involved during this process.

If no change or improvement is seen the child to be referred for clinical intervention.

Appropriate steps to be taken as guided in the clinical report.

2. Teach or take help of teachers to cover basic academic courses in mathematics, languages, history, reading, writing, science, and other areas, using instructional methods geared towards learning. Learning Outcomes to be specifically designed as per the needs of the learner. Approval of the same to be taken before 31st March of the previous session.IEP for every child to be ready by end of Feb of the previous year

Assess students to determine their level of learning and proficiency as per IEP.

3. Provide help in acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to the students

4.Help students to speak, listen, read, and write in English using real-life situations.

5.Formally evaluate students periodically to determine their progress and potential for advancement to the next level.

6.Assign homework, Prepare worksheets as per IEP

7.Hand hold students individually, plan classes for them as per their interest ,involve parents and work on the overall development.

8. Assist students in acquiring effective study skills and the self-confidence they need to recenter an academic environment.

9. Instruct students on how to use technology.

10.Organize peer counseling programmes

11.Refer students to psychologists as per the process of the school

12. Focus on improving the communication, information-processing, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills of all CWSN students.

10. Planning for I parent session (Finding of internal and external resource persons), Suggest Topics.

11. Prepare CWSN compliance report, Documentation to CBSE for CWSN students

12. Annual ,Monthly Pedagogy to be written in specific format and as per the approved IEP

13. Updating task on the daily basis.

14.Sending Monthly report as discussed/based on the areas listed in Job profile.

15.Training self and teachers handling CWSN students.

**Timings**: 7.30am to 4.30pm (Mon - Fri) & (Saturday timings: 7.30am to 12.30pm)
