**Job Title**: Bharatanatyam Dance Instructor / Performer

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Teaching**:

- Conduct Bharatanatyam classes for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
- Develop structured lesson plans, including foundational steps (_adavus_), choreographies, and theoretical knowledge.
- Guide students in preparing for performances, exams, and _arangetram_ (graduation performances).
- **Performance**:

- Choreograph and perform Bharatanatyam pieces for events, productions, or recitals.
- Collaborate with musicians and creative teams to deliver engaging stage performances.
- **Cultural Advocacy**:

- Educate students and audiences about the history, traditions, and significance of Bharatanatyam.
- Promote awareness of Indian classical arts through workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs.

**Qualifications**
- Formal training in Bharatanatyam with a diploma, degree, or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a Bharatanatyam instructor or performer.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for different age groups and learning levels.
- Passion for preserving and spreading Indian classical arts.

**Preferred Skills**
- Experience in choreographing original Bharatanatyam pieces.
- Knowledge of Indian classical music and rhythms.
- Ability to integrate traditional and contemporary elements in performances.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Expected hours: 2 per week
