A Data Entry Operator is responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining accurate information in company databases and systems. The role requires strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage large volumes of data with efficiency and accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Enter and update data into internal databases, spreadsheets, and software systems.
- Review data for errors, missing information, or inconsistencies and correct them.
- Verify accuracy of data before entering and after entry completion.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure data security at all times.
- Retrieve data from databases or electronic files as requested.
- Generate and update reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Follow company procedures and comply with data integrity and quality standards.
- Assist with scanning, photocopying, and organizing documents.
- Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary information.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator or similar role.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy (recommended 35-45 WPM or higher).
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and data entry software.
- Basic understanding of office equipment such as scanners and printers.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Preferred Skills**
- Knowledge of basic data analysis or reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

**Work Environment**
- Office-based role, usually requiring extended periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- May involve working with sensitive or confidential information.
