What's the role?:

- HERE is looking for a Legal Counsel based in Mumbai to join our APAC Legal team for drafting and negotiation of contracts supporting HERE’s sales organization. You will report to the Head of APAC Legal (based in Japan) and work closely with other Legal Counsels based in Mumbai and Beijing.

You will also be a member of the broader Global Legal Team, which is comprised of highly qualified and experienced lawyers located in the United States, Germany, Mexico, and Singapore.

You will be a point of contact and serve as primary legal support on commercial contracts to support revenue generating transactions for HERE’s sales team in various countries across the APAC region. This includes:

- Reviewing, redlining, drafting and negotiating non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements, evaluation agreements, service agreements, SOWs, outbound and inbound license agreements, and data sourcing agreements.
- Working independently with HERE’s internal business clients, supporting end-to-end negotiations and execution of contracts.
- Collaborating with colleagues in the APAC and Global Legal Teams on a variety of matters, including developing, updating, and presenting training materials, playbooks, and agreement templates.
- Provide training for both business internal clients and the Global Legal Team.
- Providing support for other legal projects as needed.

Who are you?:
**Qualifications and Experience**
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Qualified LLB or LLM with strong academic credentials from a top tier law school in India or abroad
- In-house experience with a technology company, a plus

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain contract risks and obligations to non-lawyers.
- Attention to detail, speed and efficiency in reviewing and drafting documents.
- A positive and solutions-oriented attitude with the ability to provide practical advice in a changing work environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and management skills
- Knowledge of intellectual property and contracting concepts.
- Proven ability to manage many simultaneous contract negotiations within required deadlines.
- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of matters.
- Legal Research and Interpretation
- Experience negotiating with opposing counsel..
