JOB REQUISITES

Role Summary

This role will have a particular focus on people and resource management, together with the delivery of projects measured through technical quality. The position will report to the Head of the Discipline.

**Responsibilities**:

- Technical and Management Excellence of engineering design and delivery of projects taking account of Health & Safety.
- Lead teams and help with the operational management, resource & project management, produce technical specifications and reports.
- Agree Priorities and deadlines; ensure timely delivery within fee allocation.
- Align work with WoW and maintain Document Control for all work.
- Proactively raising and resolving queries by identifying necessary inputs from others.
- Use non-project time productively by self and team training to improve software & technical skills.
- Design solutions, execution details, analysis, and design of the structures; Prepare repair/ rehabilitation of existing structures.
- Check & ensure the quality of the documents and adhere to contract deadlines.
- Check & approve drawing as per design and specifications.
- Ensure timely & quality delivery of designs as per the defined standards to the clients.
- Innovation done in analysis and design of any bridge/structure and developing design as per latest/other codes.
- Archiving of data drawings and report management.
- Correlation with all the activities in the department.

Key Competencies / Skills

Mandatory Skills
- At least 20 years’ experience of working with Bridge design.
- Extensive experience and proven track record in bridges and tunnels for ME projects.
- Good technical specifications writing capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in international standards (AASHTO, AREMA, BS / DMRB & Eurocodes, MOMRA, TR-516, PWA-IANs, Kuwait DMRB etc.).
- Have experience to supervise and work on Software’s like MIDAS.
- Experience to work in/with other cultures for delivery of major infrastructure projects.
- Have respect for deadlines and achieve targeted results whilst working individually as-well-as leading a small group of team members.

Desired Skills
- Ability to supervise team to work under pressure without supervision.
- Financial and project management.
- Can demonstrate clear and successful liaison and co-ordination on multi-discipline projects and working knowledge of other disciplines’ technical capabilities and requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status of a recognized professional institution.
- M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech/B.E. (Civil/Structural).
