Your role

Corpay is seeking a skilled Data Scientist for our Cross-Border line of business. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the North America Quantitative Analytics leadership team to support our Credit and Treasury functions. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing our existing reporting suite, as well as supporting the development of new data capabilities.
You will work with leadership to measure, model, and optimize processes related to credit and treasury management. Your efforts will contribute to maintaining and enhancing our analytics infrastructure, ensuring operational effectiveness and enabling data visualization and business intelligence capabilities. Over time, you will leverage data to extract valuable insights that empower executives in strategic decision-making. Success in this role requires critical thinking, a deep understanding of underlying problem mechanics, and the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable program enhancements that you will configure and implement.

What you'll be doing
- Understand and optimize the existing data infrastructure and reporting framework.
- Collaborate with the onshore analytics leadership team to identify data-driven opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Support the implementation of new analytical solutions.
- Conduct analyses to identify trends and generate insights that support decision-making.
- Utilize programming skills to assemble structured and unstructured data into comprehensive datasets with varying levels of granularity.
- Engage with data owners to source data from internal and external vendors (e.g., open banking, API integration) to meet analytical needs.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5 Plus years of experience in an analytical or data science role.
- Proficient in programming with Python/R and SQL.
- Basic Excel/VBA skills.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with a natural curiosity and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating ambiguous and open-ended challenges.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization; experience with Tableau and/or Power BI is a plus but not required.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver on priorities.
