Job Summary:
The Sports In Charge will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the sports program, including organizing and coordinating sports events, overseeing sports facilities, and managing the sports budget. They will ensure that all sports activities are conducted in accordance with established rules, regulations, and standards, and that they are safe, fair, and enjoyable for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and oversee sports policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Coordinate and oversee the organization of sports events, including scheduling, staffing, and logistics.
- Manage sports facilities, including maintenance and repairs, and scheduling use.
- Develop and manage the sports budget, including fundraising and revenue-generating activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all sports participants, including the provision of appropriate equipment, facilities, and medical support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the sports program.
- Conduct statistical analysis and reports on sports performance and outcomes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to staff involved in sports programs.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements related to sports programs.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of the sports program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in sports management, preferably in an educational or community setting.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in sports management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team.
- Knowledge of relevant software and technology.
