**System Administration (Networking Engineer) Responsibilities**:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure.
- Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring mínimal downtime.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Plan and execute network maintenance activities, including software updates and hardware upgrades.
- Ensure network hardware and software are maintained and updated according to vendor recommendations and best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and updates.
- Generate and analyze network performance reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure network support aligns with business needs.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and junior network engineers.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network infrastructure.
- Ensure regular backups of network configurations and critical data.
- Lead and manage network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners for network equipment procurement and support.
**System Administration (Networking Engineer) Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration or engineering.
- Proven experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with network security practices and tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on documentation and accuracy.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
- Experience in managing network-related projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors and external partners.
