Strong KDB/q skills with a thorough understanding of q internals such as tp, rdb, hdb, and tick data storage.
Solid knowledge of the UNIX/Linux environment and shell scripting.
In-depth knowledge and experience in software design methodologies, and software design patterns, and functional design and principles
Development toolkits such as Jira/Crucible, BitBucket & Familiarity with continuous integration and build Tools such as Team City/Hudson / Bamboo & build tools like Maven / Gradle.
Passionate, self-starter with the ability to work on problems from inception to completion
Strong communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate within eFX / eFI Technology team, wider Markets technology, support and trading stakeholders
Strong academic background, preferably in computer science or a hard science
Experience in Markets, FX or FI and Java/ Python/R would be an advantage
