Trainee Content Analyst-1

Company Financials is one of the key verticals within Content Operations and Managed Services. The vertical is basically responsible for providing financial information to the clients on companies across the globe. Financial information for the clients would basically mean presenting financial statements as reported by the companies to the clients. The day-to-day responsibility would mean updating Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement, including footnote items and business, geographic and pension related segments in the database which would be key input to generate the ratio analytics and eventually flow on to the products. The data collection process would be completely governed by internal policies of LSEG. The entire updates would need to be performed within the set timelines and with expected standards of accuracy. The Senior Content Analyst role in the Fundamentals group is a critical role which involves ensuring complete, timely and accurate update of database on financial results f entities across different markets. He is responsible for resolving client queries with the highest standards of quality of response in a timely manner. He is responsible for coaching analysts on data collection policies as per the highest standards to enable analysts to provide high quality data in a timely manner.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Process and maintain data accurately and in a timely manner onto databases using database and financial knowledge.
- Ensure data accuracy, timeliness and completeness are maintained as per company standards
- Developing expertise in database and financial knowledge through continuous learning and development. Build up knowledge of financial regulations and market practices/conventions in relevant markets.
- Maximize usage of available tools/support to best of advantage to maintain/improve content quality during daily operations
- Adhere to dynamic process/Mow changes, data operations standards and current data policies & procedures.
- Responsible for delivering high productivity and quality data as per expected performance standards
- Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve data problems
- Communicate & liaise with internal and external departments for resolution of data queries as per established process
- To review the work of the Associate & Content analyst on daily/weekly basis.
- To be up to date with the latest accounting and collection policies and procedures and other significant developments pertaining to different markets which would impact data collection.
- To take on the responsibility of resolving client queries in a timely manner, with very high standards of quality of response and customer satisfaction. Should be able to take right decisions quickly and independently.
- To coach market analysts on data collection policies and procedures.
- To continuously find ways to improve quality and reduce number of service requests from clients and to help meet Service targets.
- To continuously suggest improvement ideas on collection tools, internal processes and should suggest permanent fixes as well as on-going actions for preventing client queries.
- To carry out special projects or specialized tasks related to Fundamental’s dataset.
Required skills and experience:
- All market Finacial knowledge is must
- Expert knowledge on latest Fundamental’s content collection policies & data collection.
- Good experience in doing deep research and should have an eye for detail
- Technical /Professional Skills including being proficient in using SQL, Eikon & other products
- Should be a quick learner and should display high level of agility.
- Should have good communication skills - written and verbal.
- Proficient in using MS-Excel & Soft skills as well as other competencies.
- Ability to interpret, correlate between financial statements and able to explain to new analysts
- Knowledge on various gap’s like Local vs. IFRS & experience of working on various financial markets
- Able to work under pressure and flexible enough to work in different shifts/extended hours at different points in time to support business
- Manage multiple tasks & complete the team tasks within the given deadlines
Certifications / Education.
- Any Bachelor's or Masters’ degree with accounts and financial knowledge
