Salesforce Engagement 360 is the largest suite of B2B and B2C customer engagement tools on the planet. Our products are used by almost every brand you can name. We operate a hyper-scale distributed system, and we are about to hit File New... and build the next version from scratch. We are looking for strong and hardworking engineers to join our Ohana (family) and fuel our evolution. You’ll get an opportunity to design and implement:

- Extensive message processing systems on public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Reinvent distributed job management system
- Priority queues with strict tenant isolation and SLA
- Clean public API and SDK
- Telemetry collection and aggregation pipelines
- Fine-tune compute and storage allocation based on deep service insights
- Have excellent analytical skills and learning agility
- Knowledge and passion for distributed systems and cloud technology
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Have the capacity to drill through software layers
- Write clean code with attention to reliability, performance, and security
- Partner with leadership and architects to define and scope engineering plans
- Operate the service as an owner through telemetry, monitoring, and analytics
- Release high-quality features on time, meeting functional, performance, scalability, and compliance requirements

**Basic requirements**:

- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
- Good written and oral communication skills
- 10+ years of industry experience designing, developing, and shipping high-quality scalable software or services
- Strong design, implementation, and testing skills
- Experience in Amazon AWS
- Development experience in Java, Javascript/ReactJS
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm charts, Istio service mesh, Redis, and Spinnakkar
- Experience with building services on top of relational and non-relational stores
- Understanding of network technologies - TCP/IP, DNS, routing, proxy, etc.

**Great to have**:

- Experience with cloud technologies like Azure, GCP
- Security concepts (authentication, encryption, certificates, OAuth/SAML tokens, and claims)
