**Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and syllabi in alignment with educational standards and objectives. Keep abreast of current events and political developments to integrate real-world examples into the curriculum.
- **Classroom Instruction**: Conduct lectures, facilitate discussions, and organize interactive activities to help students comprehend political science concepts, theories, and methodologies.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**: Design and administer assessments, examinations, and assignments to evaluate students' understanding and progress in political science. Provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- **Research**: Stay informed about the latest developments in political science, conduct research, and incorporate relevant findings into teaching materials. Encourage students to engage in research projects and critical analysis.
- **Advising and Mentoring**: Guide students in their academic and career paths, offering advice and support. Provide mentorship for research projects or extracurricular activities related to political science.
- **Classroom Management**: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Manage student behavior and enforce academic integrity policies.
- **Technology Integration**: Incorporate relevant technology and educational tools into teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- **Professional Development**: Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on political science developments and teaching methodologies. Pursue continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills.
- **Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other educators, department colleagues, and administrators to contribute to the improvement of the political science program and the overall educational experience.
- **Community Engagement**: Foster connections between political science and the community through partnerships, service-learning opportunities, or outreach programs.
- **Office Hours**: Be available for student consultation during designated office hours to address academic concerns, provide additional support, and offer guidance.
- **Committee Participation**: Contribute to departmental committees, participate in faculty meetings, and engage in institutional initiatives as required.
