Introduction:
What will you be doing?
- Strong understanding of ETL, Datalake & DWH designs patterns with functional and non-functional assessment for global implementations
- To provide end to end ETL Design solutions and support Architecture in defining strategies
- Understanding of the overall landscape and hence designing as per standards we follow within Barclays
- Delivery of high level design documents with ETL & Datalake strategy, standards and adhering to BCI ETL & BIW principles & policies
- To understand the overall purpose of the projects and contribute to requirements & data analysis, and provide solutions from an ETL/Datalake perspective
- Working on multiple projects of varying complexity, undertaking the Solutioning activities, maintaining different set of requirements/patterns to follow as standard approach.
- Provide approval and oversight to requirement documents as entry criteria to design and development
- Accountable for closure of any design related queries/issues
- Participate in various ETL, BIW and Datalake POCs and present findings to the Senior team members

- Abinitio
- BigData - Hadoop
- Cloud platforms -AWS
- Databases: Oracle & Teradata (BIW)
- Data Modelling basics
- Strong skills on ETL design patterns and data warehouse architecture
- Hands on BIW design & development skills with design and build of large enterprise projects
- SQL
- Knowledge of open source technologies.
- Worked on performance enhancement.
- Stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of ETL Design patterns & architectures
- Cloud architecture
- Abinitio Architecture (or any ETL tool architecture)
- Data modelling knowledge
- Designing solution and Presentations
