- Transcribe audio and video files, ensuring accurate and precise text representation of the spoken content.
- Edit and proofread transcripts to correct grammar, punctuation, and formatting issues.
- Identify and mark timestamps, speaker labels, and non-verbal cues (such as laughter or pauses) as required.
- Format transcripts according to guidelines.
- Verify accuracy of names, places, technical terms, and any other content-specific details through research as needed.
- Meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery of transcription projects, prioritizing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with company policies and client requirements.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a transcriptionist, preferably with experience in multiple content types.
- Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and transcription style guidelines.
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to understand a variety of accents and speaking styles.
- Proficiency with transcription software.
- Familiarity with time-stamping and speaker labeling conventions.
- Ability to conduct basic research to verify terminology and spelling.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
