Detailed Description:
Key Responsibilities:

- Provides technical leadership and consultancy to IBU Solution Services in close partnership with IBU Architect to ensure the delivery of cloud solutions is aligned with the Enterprise IT architecture.
- Creates and reviews system designs to leverage existing standards, to evaluate alternative technologies and to build a cost-effective solution.
- Acts as a mentor and guide to individual team members in terms of technology training and adoption.
- Implements solutions following the agreed system design.
- Collaborates with External Service Providers and IBU Service Management to prioritize and resolve incidents for IT systems and perform problem management to ensure resolution of root causes.
- Develops a deep expertise on platforms/technologies used by IBU Solution Services to assist system custodians with life cycle management or complex changes.
- Revises development quotations provided by External Service Providers and challenges if needed
- Reviews source code provided by External Service Providers.
- Ensures coding standards or technical implementation guides are in place for standard IBU platforms or technologies and educates External Service Providers to ensure they are followed.
- Helps to establish a cloud DevOps to improve the quality, security, and stability of our cloud solutions.
- Identifies synergies and reuse opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings.
- Identifies and drives proof of concepts for emerging technologies at Lilly and helps the IBU Solution Services team prepare for the adoption of these technologies.

Required Experience:

- 10 years of experience in Information Technology
- Proven in-depth knowledge of the cloud environment, its methodologies, and processes. This includes the following technologies:

- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Microsoft Azure
- JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- Node.js, Express.js
- GitHub
- CI/CD
- API and Microservice concepts such as Swagger
- Working with multiple internal IT organizations or external suppliers, virtually and across different geographies.
- Experience working in the agile methodology. This includes coding standards, programming, code reviews, source management (GitHub), building processes and experience with Jira.
- Experience with Incident and Problem management processes, tools, and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology areas (Strong learning agility)
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and investigative skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Strong communication written and verbal.
- Self-motivated to prioritise and complete multiple tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, priorities.
- Understanding of IT life cycle methodology & processes.

Essential Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- Deep technical skills especially in the cloud domain
- Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
