**About Role**:
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Modernization System Programmer to join our team, focusing on driving automation, innovation through Mainframe transformation and infrastructure modernization.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Strategy Development**: Create and implement a modernization strategy for Mainframe Infrastructure that enhances innovation, automation, productivity, and efficiency, including z/OS/ISV upgrades, PTF management, and AIOps.
- **Technical Guidance**: Provide expert advice and support to Sysprogs on Mainframe modernization and migration to the latest tools, such as z/OSMF, Watson X for z, AIOps, Ansible, Python, and upgrade workflows.
- **Opportunity Identification**: Utilize extensive knowledge of Mainframe architecture to identify and prioritize modernization opportunities.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with Sysprogs, SDMs, vendors, and clients to maximize the use of our capabilities and services.
- **Business Development**: Partner with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- **Industry Awareness**: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to Mainframe strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

**Required Technical and Professional Experience**:

- **Experience**: Over 10 years of technical expertise as a z/OS SysProg, with a focus on Mainframe transformation, IBMi modernization, and generative AI. Strong knowledge of cutting-edge technology solutions and implementation methodologies.
- **Upgrade Process Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of the z/OS and ISV upgrade processes via z/OSMF.
- **Modernization Tools**: Familiarity with Mainframe infrastructure modernization tools, including z/OSMF, AIOps, WatsonX for z, ZOWE, upgrade workflows, Ansible, and Python.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- **Adaptability**: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**:

- **Certifications**: Relevant certifications in Mainframe technology or related fields.
- **Project Management**: Experience managing complex projects and strategic partnerships.
- **Global Experience**: Background in working within a global organization with a diverse customer and partner base.
