**Description**: **Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS)** established at **RBG labs, IIT Madras** acts as think tank and funded by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, GOI. In addition, the centre advises and guides various stakeholders like State Governments and industry bodies in different aspects of road safety. The centre with multidisciplinary prospects works with principle of Integrated Systems approach on 4E’s (Engineering, Enforcement, Emergency & Education) to enhance Road Safety across the nation and globe in pledge to save lives We are looking for a passionate **3D Modeler** **Key Responsibilities**: -> Modelling Indian Vehicles: Create highly detailed and accurate 3D models of Indian vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, and two-wheelers, ensuring they are optimized for real-time performance in Unreal Engine. -> Designing Roads and Hazards: Model various types of Indian roads, including highways, urban streets, and rural paths, along with common road hazards like potholes, speed bumps, and traffic barriers. -> Building Environment Assets: Create 3D models of Indian-style buildings, signboards, street furniture, and other environmental assets that reflect the diversity of India's urban and rural landscapes. -> Texture and Material Creation: Develop high-quality textures and materials that enhance the realism of models, using tools like Substance Painter or similar software. -> Asset Integration: Work closely with level designers and programmers to integrate your models seamlessly into Unreal Engine, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and performance requirements. -> Optimize for Performance: Ensure that all models are optimized for performance across various platforms, including PC, console, and VR. -> Collaborate with Teams: Work with artists, designers, and developers to ensure that all 3D models align with the overall visual style and gameplay requirements of the project. -> Maintain Quality and Consistency: Ensure that all models are consistent in style and quality, adhering to the project's artistic vision and technical constraints. **Preferred Qualifications**: -> Experience with Photogrammetry: Knowledge of photogrammetry techniques for creating highly detailed and realistic 3D models. -> Multi-Platform Experience: Experience creating assets for multiple platforms, including VR, PC, and consoles. -> Animation Skills: Basic understanding of rigging and animation within Unreal Engine for dynamic vehicle models. **Salary and other components** What You Can Expect: **Competitive Salary**: You will receive a competitive salary in line with industry standards.
