Job Title: Jewellery Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect finished jewellery items for overall quality, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications ,with a particular focus on lab-grown diamonds
- Conduct thorough assessments of materials, including gemstones( lab-groown diamonds), metals, and other components, ensuring they meet industry standards and company specifications.
- Identify and document defects or quality issues, and provide feedback to the production team for corrective actions.
- Perform tests to verify the durability, finish, and quality of jewellery pieces, paying particular attention to lab-grown diamonds eating and treatment.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and reports, ensuring traceability of quality issues.
- Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into the production process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to jewellery quality and safety standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Gemology or Jewellery Design is a plus.
- Proven experience in jewellery quality control or a related field, paticularly with lab-grown diamonds.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery production processes, materials, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with gemological tools and equipment.
- Attention to detail and a precision-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

- Certification from recognized institutions (e.g., AGS) in gemology or jewellery quality is advantageous.
- Experience in using quality inspection tools and software.
- Understanding of jewelry design principles and craftsmanship.
- Knowledge of the processes and characteristics specific to lab-grown diamonds.
