**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position title: Graphic Designer**

**Overview**:
As a graphic designer, you will work with our Creative Director & Junior Designer in developing visually appealing and effective design concepts to support our marketing initiatives as well as internal communications and general business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our brand to life through various channels, ensuring a cohesive and engaging brand presence. You will be a design generalist, working in a variety of projects that include digital communications, UI, packaging, print publications, presentations, photography, video editing & typesetting.

Position Objective: In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with the marketing team to conceptualise, design & roll out assets that capture the essence of our brand. You will be responsible for creating assets that are aligned with the broader creative vision and strategy and the fast execution of assets required for around the business.

**Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)**:

- Visual Design
- Create high-quality graphics across various channels (print, digital, social media, presentations).
- Develop design concepts based on brand guidelines, target audience, and campaign objectives.
- Roll out template assets with minor modifications.
- Adapt and modify existing designs in a variety of mediums - digital, packaging, print.
- Assist in photography + video production and editing.
- Assist in UX/UI design for websites and apps.
- Stay up-to-date on current design trends and best practices especially within the food industry.
- Stay up-to-date on current software programs, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Present design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
- Proactively communicate progress and any challenges encountered to ensure smooth project flow.
- Maintain professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions.

**Confidentiality & Continuous Improvement**:

- Deal with sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner, ensuring confidentiality is maintained including customer or proprietary information, trade secrets etc.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the overall design process for our team

**Project management**:

- Assist Creative director with project management tasks, including budgeting, timeline development and resource allocation.
- Prepare mock-ups and present concepts to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- Manage revisions and make adjustments to designs based on feedback.
- Maintain a record of design files and assets and adhere to given file structures.

- Research and gather inspiration for design projects
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and actively participate in team discussions.
- Stay organized and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow, actively seeking opportunities to expand skillset.

**Health and Safety requirements**:

- Understand and follow procedures in case of emergencies, including knowing who to contact for assistance.
- Manage fatigue by taking mandatory rest breaks and adhering to break times during work hours.
- Maintain open communication with management regarding any safety concerns or incidents encountered during warehouse operations.

- Meeting Brand Standards: Design tasks executed to a high standard.
- Design Accuracy: Design tasks & projects executed with mínimal rounds of feedback.
- Working to Deadline: Tasks & projects are completed by deadlines with allowance for proofing time.

**Key Attributes**:
**Qualification**
- Tertiary qualification or degree in Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years agency or in-house design experience.
- A strong and varied design portfolio.
- Excellent understanding of creative principals, branding & content creation.
- Optional: Experience in related verticals such as social media, web design or development.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Extensive knowledge in design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Excellent ability to pay attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the creative industry.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in digital marketing environment.
- Skills and experience building and maintaining effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
