- ** Provide estimates**: Calculate the time and materials needed to complete a project
- ** Maintain tools**: Keep tools and equipment in good condition
- ** Follow safety rules**: Adhere to workplace safety rules and regulations

Working conditions
- Painters may be exposed to extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises
- Painters may need to climb ladders or work from scaffolding
- Painters may need to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds
