**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MS SQl, MySQL, PostgreSQL,
- SQL Server, Mongo DB or Oracle.
- Monitor database performance and optimize for speed and scalability.
- Perform regular database backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement efficient database schemas.
- Manage database security, including access controls and encryption.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as patching and updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime.
- Automate recurring tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency through proper indexing, partitioning, and normalization techniques.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in database technologies and implement best practices.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud).
- Proficient in database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of database security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).
- Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in working with ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
