**Job Summary**:
The Manual Jewellery Designer is responsible for creating unique and exquisite jewellery designs using traditional manual techniques. This role involves designing and developing jewellery pieces with a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and artistic vision. The Manual Jewellery Designer will collaborate with clients, sales teams, and production staff to bring their designs to life, ensuring that the final products meet the desired quality standards and reflect the brand's aesthetic.

**Responsibilities**:
**Jewellery Design**:

- Create original jewellery designs by hand, incorporating various materials such as precious metals, gemstones, beads, and enamel.
- Sketch and illustrate design concepts, paying attention to proportions, textures, and intricate details.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and market demands to ensure designs are relevant and appealing to target customers.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and requirements, translating their ideas into unique jewellery pieces.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on the feasibility of design concepts in terms of manufacturing techniques, materials, and cost.

**Technical Documentation**:

- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design, including dimensions, materials, and finishing instructions.
- Work closely with the production team to communicate design requirements and ensure accurate execution of the designs.
- Assist in the creation of comprehensive design catalogs or portfolios to showcase the range of available designs to clients.

**Quality Control**:

- Conduct thorough inspections of finished jewellery pieces to ensure they meet the desired quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and address any design or manufacturing flaws, making necessary adjustments or corrections to enhance the final product.

**Collaboration and Communication**:

- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand market trends, customer preferences, and design requirements for custom orders.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination throughout the design and production process.
- Provide guidance and support to junior designers or artisans, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional growth.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manual Jewellery Designer, demonstrating a strong portfolio of unique and innovative designs.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in traditional manual jewellery design techniques, including sketching, rendering, and illustrating.
- In-depth knowledge of jewellery materials, gemstones, metals, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to create intricate and precise designs.
- Strong understanding of proportion, symmetry, and aesthetics in jewellery design.
- Proficiency in using design software and tools for creating technical drawings is an added advantage.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
