Position : Network Administrator & Server

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

- To perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- To perform DFS, DHCP, DNS and FSMO roles activity tasks at the time of requirements.
- Evaluation of permissions for server access and suggestions to increase network security.
- Focused activities under Governance tickets to maintain policy compliance.
- Monitor datacenter health and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
- 1-2 years hands on experience with Azure.

Job Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or IT.
- Practical knowledge and hands-on experiences in server/VMware troubleshooting and isolation.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in implementing, administrating and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 productivity products, System & Software Management, Hypervisor (i.e VMware vSphere or Hyper-V), Backup software (Veeam Backup Solutions), SharePoint Administration
- At least 1-2 years of experience in implementing, administrating and troubleshooting network switch (Cisco) and firewall security appliance. (Cisco or Sophos) and Mobility Controller ( Cisco or Ubiquiti)
- VMware Associate Level or MCSA or Cisco certified (MUST)
- Any network / cloud certification will be an added advantage
