**Job Description for a Dentist**

**Position Title**: Dentist
**Reports To**: Clinic Owner

**Job Type**: Full-Time
**Location**: Sector 26, Panchkula

**Role Overview**:
The dentist is responsible for diagnosing and treating oral health issues while promoting preventive dental care. The role involves performing procedures to enhance patients' oral health and aesthetic appearance, ensuring high-quality care, and maintaining patient satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities:Patient Care and Treatment**:

- Examine patients’ teeth, gums, and mouth to identify issues, such as cavities, gum disease, or other oral health problems.
- Create and explain treatment plans to patients.
- Perform dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, and teeth cleaning.
- Offer cosmetic dentistry services, such as teeth whitening and veneers, if applicable.
- Prescribe medications, such as antibiotics or pain relievers, as needed.

**Preventive Care and Education**:

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative measures.
- Provide dietary and lifestyle advice for maintaining healthy teeth and gums.
- Encourage regular dental check-ups and cleanings.

**Equipment and Hygiene Management**:

- Operate and maintain dental equipment and instruments.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate patient records, including examination notes and treatment details.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices through continuous education.

**Key Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
- **Licence**: Active licence to practise dentistry in the relevant region.
- **Experience**: Experienced and Freshers both
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Empathy and ability to handle patients of all ages.

**Work Environment**:

- Work in a clinical setting, maintaining a professional and patient-friendly atmosphere.
- Handle a mix of scheduled appointments and emergency cases.
