**Job Description and Qualifications**

Purpose
- To deliver safe, fit for purpose piping design to an agreed schedule and agreed budget.
- Nature and Scope
- The job holder is one of the key members of the design team having responsibility for piping design. The job holder shall be responsible for the end to end piping design on projects executed by AP. In addition, generating plot plans, MTOs in support of proposal work shall also be part of the responsibilities.**_DIMENSIONS_**
- Responsible for working on multiple projects at a time.
- Responsible for review of corresponding documents.
- A Piping designer is responsible for generating piping design on projects that meet the technical requirements. The primary purpose is the delivery of a safe, fit for purpose piping design to an agreed schedule and construction budget.

**_ PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES_**
- Safety and rigorous adherence to relevant specifications and standards for all piping designs.
- Responsible for the layout design and engineering scope adherence in accordance with project specifications & standards of all piping designs
- .
- Implementation of quality procedures
- and contribute to continuous improvement activities

- Ensure that the piping design and drawings released for a project meet the design requirements and also ensure optimization in design and cost effective design.
- Technically responsible for developing plot plan in 2D, developing piping 3D models in SP3D.
- Generation of all piping drawings of a piping package - plot plans, general arrangement drawings, isometrics, support drawings, MTO etc.
- Work with other engineering disciplines to ensure a clash free design.
- Work effectively with construction team to ensure that design queries are effectively addressed and provide field support as required.

**_MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS_**
- Diploma in Engineering with a work experience of around 15 years.
- Must be familiar with an engineering organization, the function of each discipline and how they interact and the function of the various support groups.
- Full experience of SP3D Piping software and associated modules. Ability to work hands-on on modeling and generating drawings.
- Experience of planning of piping design work, inputs required and working on end to end piping design cycle and generation of piping design packages.
- Understanding of pipe support design, support modelling and Piping stress work process
- Experience of independently working on piping design on small and mid sized projects.
- Experience of working on 2D software like Microstation, Autocad to generate piping drawings.
- Should have experience of generating all piping drawings of high quality.
- Should be familiar with design of piping skids.

Experience of field engineering is desirable
